The Tigers have had a stunning start to the campaign having been promoted via the play-offs last May and currently sit sandwiched between the likes of Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United at the top of the table, having already defeated the Gunners at the Emirates Stadium.
And Windass has spoken to the press about the high levels of belief in the Hull camp, stating his confidence that their good form can continue throughout the 38-game league season.
The 39-year-old feels there is no reason why they should not aim high and says European qualification is a genuine possibility.
"The lads were superb last Saturday in the 1-0 win against West Ham and our season continues to go from strength to strength," Windass stated.
"The great thing about the campaign so far is, apart from one bad game against Wigan [a 5-0 home defeat], no-one has really bothered us, and as a result belief in the camp is huge at the moment,” he commented.
"We believe we can be up there challenging for Europe at the end of the season, and if everyone keeps working hard then we will keep upsetting some of the bigger sides.
"We've got games coming up against both Chelsea and Manchester United and there will be no pressure on us in those games. Everyone will expect us to lose but maybe we'll surprise people again."
Bookmakers’ are not convinced Hull’s strong start will continue however, with Phil Brown’s men still fourth favorites to suffer relegation.
soon they'll be where they should be.
jia you hull!!! wo support u!
Heard of Wigan?
I heard of Reading Wigan West Ham and Leeds but i dun think i Heard of Hull if Hull city can go Uefa Cup i support them too if they cannot too bad
Typical of newly-promoted teams. Win a couple of big teams and they think they can be a force to be reckoned with in europe.
Hope they enjoy the BPL while it still lasts... Remember sheffield Wednesday?
I think Leeds is the most pro team ever must sold their players due to No $$.
Hull to take the CL tittle next season.
little bits of achievment then think so much liao. lanjiao wei siol.
give them another 10 games and we shall see... if they still remain in the top 4 then they are really good.... but i think by game 20th they should be out of the top 5.
Though they won arsenal, they still have to meet Man Utd (twice), Chelsea (twice), Liverpool (twice), Arsenal (once). How many points can they get from these games? They will lose steam soon enough and their defense is quite bad. Soon enough they will be where they should be
