Manchester City boss Mark Hughes has ruled out a move for three-time World Player of the Year Ronaldo after being linked with a swoop for the Brazilian.
The former Barcelona, Inter and Real Madrid was released by Milan at the end of last season and has been recovering from a knee injury in his homeland.
Ronaldo recently claimed that he would seriously consider a move to Manchester City if the Premier League side were to make an offer.
However, Hughes has brought to an end any speculation of an arrival at Eastlands for the legendary forward, regardless of whether he is in top shape or not.
"Ronaldo is not an option," stated Hughes. "It doesn't matter whether he proves his fitness.
""I'm surprised that he says he wants to come here, but I don't want him and that's my decision."

I am beginning to think he could be better than Anelka... Anelka was quite useless today against Pool... Hardly did anything good at all.
