Former Tottenham manager Juande Ramos acknowledged it is 'results that count' after the Spaniard was dismissed by Spurs on Saturday.
The former Sevilla coach was approaching a year in charge at White Hart Lane before Spurs announced his departure late on Saturday evening.
Ramos' future in the Spurs hot seat had been the focus of intense scrutiny after the club's worst-ever start to a league season.
Tottenham were bottom of the table after failing to win in their opening eight Premier League matches and also lost 2-0 at Udinese in the Uefa Cup on Thursday.
With Harry Redknapp installed in his place, Ramos is now intrigued to discover if Spurs' decision to change managers will reap dividends.
"The results are what counts in football and we all know how this world works," said Ramos on his personal website.
"Now we just have to see if this decision is the best one for the team to recover and have a good season."

Former Tottenham boss Juande Ramos has reportedly been offered the chance to take Shakhtar Donetsk in charge with immediate effect.
Spurs’ flop Ramos may not stay unemployed for a long time, as Ukraine top guns Shakhtar have reportedly contacted his agent Gines Carvajal and made an offer.
Donetsk's Romanian coach Mircea Lucescu is under fire, and club officials approached Ramos a fortnight ago according to Spanish media sources.
The Ukrainian side lie eight in their domestic league but are still on course in the Champions League, but playing for the third spot following their latest defeat against Sporting.
Ramos has also been linked to Atletico Madrid, where current chief Javier Aguirre is walking on thin ice after a series of disappointing results.
He's stating the obvious right?
