Redknapp: Just Give Modric The Ball

New Tottenham Hotspur boss Harry Redknapp is banking on Croatian whiz-kid Luka Modric to resurrect their season.
Modric has struggled to justify the £16.6million transfer fee that Tottenham paid for him in the summer until the last couple of games and it is no coincidence that his dramatic upsurge in form is linked with Redknapp's arrival at the club.
"Modric could be a real star at this club, like he showed against England at Wembley for Croatia last year." the new boss enthused.
"He has that amazing football brain. We've got to get him on the ball. He can open things up for you.
"The last goal against Arsenal we played a little ball into him in a dangerous area, between defence and midfield. He shot and hit the post.
"Give him the ball. Tell the players we have got to keep supplying him. Eyal Berkovic was the same for me at West Ham and Pompey. Fantastic brain."
Modric will have to be at his best to orchestrate a continued revival agains a notoriously stingy Liverpool defence on Saturday. -
