Newcastle United's fit-again striker Michael Owen is confident of breaking into the England squad.
Owen, 28, reckons he will soon be back in the international fold.
He said: "That just comes with playing well and scoring goals. It's a by-product of doing well for your club."
Owen, who hopes to continue his return from a groin injury in Sunday's trip to Fulham, insists Newcastle are "greedy" for success after their recent revival.
Troubled Toon have won two in a row and are unbeaten in their last five under interim boss Joe Kinnear.
And Owen has revealed the new-found confidence in the camp.
He said: "It's always nice coming back into a team that has won a game or two. And when you win you get a little bit greedy and want another win."
