Cristiano Ronaldo gave Manchester United 100 reasons for why they should love him on Saturday, and there were 70,000 fans ready to pour out their adoration for their number seven as he inspired a 5-0 victory over Stoke.

There was astonishing late drama at St James’ Park as Newcastle claimed a 2-2 draw with ten-man Wigan.
Wigan had looked the stronger team for much of the game following Ryan Taylor’s early goal, but a highly dubious red card for Emmerson Boyce after 54 minutes left the game wide open.
Newcastle looked to have taken full advantage as late goals from substitute Michael Owen and Obafemi Martins gave them a 2-1 lead, but Titus Bramble popped up with a header at the death to rescue his team.

Tottenham experienced their first defeat under Harry Redknapp on Saturday as they were beaten 2-1 by Fulham at Craven Cottage.
In a display that lacked the determination and fight that has become associated with Spurs in Redknapp’s short time in charge, Spurs were undone by a Fulham side who worked harder and retained possession far better than their opponents did.
A Heurelho Gomes blooper handed Fulham the lead after half an hour, and Andy Johnson’s fourth league goal of the season doubled that lead with 20 minutes of the game remaining.
Fraizer Campbell scored twice against Liverpool in the Carling Cup in midweek – as did Roman Pavlyuchenko – but both were dropped to the bench as Darren Bent started alone up front, but the man on loan from Manchester United made his mark as a late substitute with an 81st-minute effort that secured his first Premier League goal and offered hope of an unlikely result for the away side.
There was to be no fightback however as Roy Hodgson’s side stood firm to secure victory and serve Redknapp the unfamiliar taste of defeat in the Spurs dugout.

Aston Villa won 2-0 at Emirates Stadium to hand Arsenal a devastating fourth Premier League defeat of the season.
The Villans deserved those three points, as they dominated the clash and produced the best chances against an uninspired Gunners side that looked a pale shadow of the team that beat Manchester United a week ago.
Arsenal’s titles hopes will once again be discussed after such a poor display, while Villa proved they can carry on battling for European qualification.

Chelsea made an emphatic return to the top of The Premier League at The Hawthorns, but worrying times lay ahead for West Brom after they were battered 3-0.
The Baggies have now been beaten 4-0 by Manchester United, 3-0 by Liverpool and now 3-0 by Chelsea. They’re bottom of the league and showing all the signs of a team destined for the drop.
Primary among their faults is a shocking defence, something Chelsea put to the sword, twisted that sword and then cruised in a limousine all the way back to West London.
Jose Bosingwa opened the scoring, helped by a major assist from Scott Carson, before Nicolas Anelka added goals 12 and 13 of his wonderful season to extend Chelsea’s goals advantage over Liverpool.
Anelka has been on great form lately... Banging in all that comes his way... He is top scorer in the epl now i think... Chelsea don't seem to miss Drogba anymore... Have never seen him in suck top form since his Arsenal days...

Yakubu grabbed a second-half equaliser for Everton against his old club as the Toffees played out an entertaining 1-1 draw with Middlesbrough.
Gary O'Neil had given Boro an early lead at Goodison Park, but Everton finally made their pressure pay when Yakubu levelled 20 minutes into the second period.

Brilliant Brazilian Geovanni returned to haunt Manchester City on Sunday as the midfielder’s deflected free-kick earned Hull City a 2-2 draw at The KC Stadium and continued Mark Hughes' poor run of form.
Having been allowed to leave City on a free transfer over the summer after starting only two Premier League games under Sven Goran Eriksson, Geovanni overshadowed his countryman Robinho – City’s captain for the day in the absence of Richard Dunne – to score his sixth goal in 11 games this season.
While both sides ended a run of three consecutive defeats after a game that saw two horrendous pieces of defending and a flash of genius from Stephen Ireland to leave City 2-1 up at the break, it is high-flying Hull who will more content with the final result.
Quite good match... But the first 2 goals were from rather silly mistakes...
