"It's difficult. I do get frustrated. I can tell myself that I'm still only 21 and at the start of my career. But it is making it hard for me because, as time goes on, they keep telling me that I'm young and that my time will come,” admits the former Ajax man, “Well, OK, but I'm not a player who wants to wait. I want to be involved now rather than in three or four years' time.”
When Babel has featured for the Reds it has usually been in a wide position, yet this is not his favoured role, as he is quick to acknowledge.
“I have always said that I want to play as a striker,” explains Babel before adding, “Of course, it would not help me improve if I wasn't able to play, or train, in another position a couple of times. But all the time? I used to play as a striker in Holland. I grew up as a striker. That's the position I want to play.”
However, he is clearly determined to force his way into the staring line-up and admitted he was working hard to change his current situation. The Dutchman concluded: “But I'm working on it. I look at myself before I blame others. I'm going to do something about it. It's not something I'm scared about.”
lol
babel is good wasted that he nvr get to play his fav position
Hmmm.. maybe he don't suit Liverpool's game plan.. But nevertheless he's defintely a brilliant player.. But he's very effective in the C.Ronaldo/Malouda/Kalou kind of role.. Not really a typical striker in England.. hmm..
The new henry? LOL.. He is far from it...
seriously.. liverpool love to use players that is not effective, but when coming to players that are really good they nv play them..
one good example is dudek..

dudek is not a good example.
between reina and dudek, i wld go for reina as #1. prior to his CL heroics, i lost count the the number of goof ups he made. we need a consistent keeper, not a sometime brilliant, sometime erratic one.
dudek would have been a great cover had he not left. we need 2 gd keepers. now, liverpool doesn't have one.
the recent lost to spurs in the league cup demonstrate how far liverpool is from having good cover for reina. god forbid reina is injured, then it could be disastrous.
babel is a great player, but unfortunately he is behind keane and torres. his time will come if he is patient. it is not as if he is not getting play time.
i rather he play babel as striker than Ngog
which brings me to a Sissoko clone called Plessis
for me, i will rather play babel than keane, till now, i donno what rafa sees in keane that made him signed keane for so much -.-
Not sure if Babel can last one full match but he is more of a super sub, coming on towards the end to make an impact.
before he join liverpool he should already know he is going to be in the bench most of the time
Babel should learn from crouch and learn to shut his mouth from the press.
Or else he will become the next crouch.
As for Keane, he can run around the opponent's half like a headless fly, just like Kuyt.
Just like Kuyt, Keane will find his striking form in a long while.
At the present moment, he is a clown.
As for Babel, he dun defend or run around so Ah Ben will alway play him for the last 15 mins for speed.
babel is a good super sub, run people ragged when they are tired
