Luiz Felipe Scolari claims Chelsea have been playing to a Samba beat since the arrival of himself and Deco at Stamford Bridge.
Substance came before style under previous regimes at Chelsea, but Scolari is intent on marrying the two and the early signs have been positive.
Scolari feels Deco has been a key player for Chelsea who helps The Blues tick.
“We are playing more open football, with more touches, and the players are closer to each other, now we have Deco in the team,” Scolari told World Soccer magazine.
“He is a player who has made that transition. And like Deco [we have] other players of great quality like Frank Lampard and Nicolas Anelka.
“Their football grows because they work more with the ball. All this makes the team be seen as more ‘Brazilianised’.”
Deco himself added: “For me, Chelsea have the best midfield in the world, that is the strongest area of the team.
“However, the player who has impressed me the most is John Terry because he has a strong character, he is a great leader and also a very complete footballer.”
