After spells in Norway, Spain, Italy, Turkey and France, Aston Villa striker John Carew claims that he finally feels at home in England.
Carew begun in his homeland with Valerenga and then dipped his toe in Valencia, Rome, Istanbul and Lyon, before being lured to the West Midlands.
His 21 league goals for Villa eclipses anything he has scored elsewhere in his career but he shows no sign of wanting to settle for his lot and continue his magical mystery tour of European leagues.
“I’m very happy here, I’m very proud to be part of the club,” he told Villa’s official website.
“There’s great ambition and I’m sure we have a great future.
“That’s why I signed a new contract, I love the club. I love the fans and we have a great group of players.
“Football in this country suits me very well. It’s a very quick game, which I really like. I think I’ve found the right football country.
“I would like to finish my career here, I’m not thinking of going anywhere else.”
