West Brom defender Paul Robinson has apologised to the Baggies crowd for his behaviour towards them following the defeat to Wigan last weekend.
Robinson let the West Brom faithful know how he felt after they heckled the defender for his error that led to Henri Camara's winner.
But the 29-year-old has since accepted that the fans have a right to vent their anger and insists that he only reacted in that manner because he cares so much about the club.
"I was very passionate at the weekend and very disappointed with myself about the error," Robinson told the Birmingham Mail.
"That is only because I care and I want this club to go forward and those silly mistakes cost your team. That one really hurt me.
"I think it was just a bit of passion between the players and fans, that we both care. They gave me a bit of abuse and I gave them a bit of abuse back, as simple as that.
"The fans have been brilliant all year and this was just a small group who vented their anger.
"And too right. They pay good money to come and watch us.
"I am passionate and I know they are passionate too. Let's hope they are behind me on Saturday."

And that's why blackburn is leaking in so many goals at the moment and is in relegation zone.
Personally, i think the GK (Paul Robinson) should apologise and retire from football.
