Chelsea's ambition to "turn the world blue" was dealt a blow last night - as it emerged they are only the fourth most popular Premier League club.
According to a new survey just 10 per cent of fans across the globe declare themselves Chelsea fans, way behind Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal. But the Blues are still seen as favourites to lift the Premier League title this term, with more than a third of worldwide fans backing them.

well, to be fair to the blues, their ascension over the last 5 years is astounding. With Roman's $$, they won the league with Jose and that create a lot of supporters to join their bandwagon.however, with top 3 having achieve more, and with a rich history it is no surprise that Chelsea is still 4th.. And now with Roman's squeeing the oilpipe, it may even slide further if no success for this/next season..
As for newcastle, despite their die-hards, they are popular more as an under-achieving club. Nothing much..
