  Gary Megson has been named perhaps the most unlikely Manager of the Month in Premier League history.

  Megson was named alongside Nicolas Anelka as the two men who mattered most in the month of November.

  Ironically, Anelka was the man that inspired Bolton’s only defeat in November, scoring one of his seven goals in the five games played.

  Bolton won their other four matches to scream away from the relegation zone – their 4-1 victory away at Middlesbrough the undoubted stand-out performance.
