Villa and Silva 'will not leave'

Valencia vice-president Fernando Gomez has ruled out selling star duo David Villa and David Silva.
Reports have suggested Los Che could be forced to part company with a number of their key players in the January transfer window amid growing concerns over their financial plight.
Cash-fuelled Manchester City have been linked with striker Villa while winger Silva was mooted as a potential Manchester United target over the summer.
Gomez is adamant that neither will be departing in the new year, but conceded towering forward Nikola Zigic and former Newcastle United playmaker Hugo Viana could seek exits in search of first-team football.
"Villa and Silva are not going to be leaving Valencia," Gomez was quoted as saying in El Confidencial.
"There are the possible exits of Zigic and Hugo Viana, but that is because they are players who need to play because here they have not had opportunities."

I think Rafa needs to sell Kuyt, Babel, Mascherano, Dossena, Aurelio, Keane, Hyppia, Benayoun to get both Silva and Villa.
The ideal team will be Arbeloa, Agger, Carragher, Skrtel, Gerrard, Silva, Riera, Alonso, Villa, Torres.
It is time to promote some of the youngsters Jack Hobbs, Ngog, Insua, etc.

sell kuyt? i must say someone don't know about football... kuyt is a good player to have for any team... he may not have the pace and the skills to take on defenders but he is intelligent enough to draw the defenders out of position to create space for arbeloa... i think he's super hardworking as well

Trump...I admit that Kuyt is a DECENT player because of his workrate...i know that he is a striker but was being played out wide by Rafa. If we have Torres, Villa, Keane and Ngog...Kuyt is certainly surplus to requirements. You need someone who are quick down the flank, not someone like Kuyt as it is not his natural position anyway. I personally prefer Pennant on the right, but if can get Silva...then Kuyt also not needed. The only thing I like him is his workrate...he got no speed, no crossing ability, tend to lose possession. I think you gotta look at the overall rather than his workrate alone...I am not sure who are the one that doesn't know football here?
And for Masherano, he is a SUPERB player but he is not in good form lately...Alonso is a more complete player than just a holding midfield alone. If we have the cash, I certainly hate to see him go.
Anyway Reyes, i thought Wenger trying to sign Alonso instead of Mascherano?

Addition...I am not thinking of selling Mascherano because of his form. Form is temporary, class is permanent and Mascherano is a top class player but we need to raise cash to get other players that we badly needed now...that is someone on the right flank and left defender and probably another striker. We have good defenders in Carra, Skrtel, Agger, Arbeloa. We do not need to always play defensive game with Mascherano in the team. Alonso is in good form at the moment, and he is a class player as well who can rip opponents defense with his pass (that's why he is on wenger's radar for sometime now). It is just a matter of time before mascherano asking for a transfer, mark my word on this...world class player like him will not be happy to warm the bench.
