Milan playmaker Kaka has tried to play down speculation regarding his
injury but he has warned that a three month period on the sidelines
could be looming.
The Brazilian magician was forced to miss out
on the showdown with Juventus on Sunday night and reports claimed he
had a hernia and needed surgery.
However, Kaka has tried to reassure fans regarding his injury, even though it could take up to 90 days to heal completely.
"It's
nothing serious, the examination on Monday morning revealed an
inflammation around the pelvic area," Kaka told Sky Sport Italia.
"I
hope to recovery as soon as possible otherwise I will be back in 2009.
I might be better tomorrow or it could take two or even three months.
"I am disappointed at having missed out against Juventus but I am sure I will play many more great games in future."
It's not the news Milan or Carlo Ancelotti wanted to hear heading into the crucial stages of the season.
The Rossoneri are already nine points behind Inter in the race for the Scudetto.
