Arsenal star Cesc Fabregas admits he is worried about the knee injury which forced him to come off at half-time in the 1-1 draw with Liverpool.
Just before the interval in the clash at Emirates Stadium on Sunday, Fabregas came off worst in a challenge with fellow countryman Xabi Alonso.
He looked in pain on his way off the field and he did not emerge again for the second period.
Now, speaking to Spanish radio, Fabregas admits he is worried about the problem with his right knee.
The Spaniard has only just returned to full fitness after an issue with the same knee, and there are now fears he could be set for an extended spell on the sidelines.
"I have negative thoughts about the injury," he told Radio Marca.
"But we will wait for the medical tests on Monday."
Arsenal's medical staff will assess Fabregas before confirming any injury, although initial Spanish reports claim there is a real fear of ligament damage.
However, Gunners boss Arsene Wenger remained confident the injury would not be too serious.
"It's a medial knee ligament injury," he said.
"I don't know how long he will be out. It is difficult to assess; it could be one week or three weeks."
