Espanyol have ruled out selling Republic of Ireland right-back Steve Finnan in January, despite reported interest from Arsenal and Tottenham.
The north London rivals have both been linked with the 32-year-old defender, who only joined the Barcelona club from Liverpool during the summer.
Arsenal and Spurs are reported to be interested in taking Finnan on loan, but his Spanish Primera Liga employers have no plans to let him go.
Finnan has struggled with injuries since his arrival in Spain but coach Mane regards him as an important member of his squad.
"I am convinced that Finnan will be decisive in our defence," Mane said in the Spanish press.
Sport director Paco Herrera added: "Finnan stays in Espanyol because he is a main man for the second part of the season."
