  Real Madrid defender Fabio Cannavaro admits they've failed to cope with the raft of injuries the squad has suffered.

  "I am only interested in being able to retrieve our injured players, if we have everyone back, we can beat anyone," said Cannavaro. "With ten absentees, in this period we could lose against anyone."

  On his future, Cannavaro added: "I am not rushing. The first word must come from Madrid. If they do not want to renew my contract, we will then assess the bids and seek a solution. But only after having spoken with them.

  "The relationship is optimal. Meanwhile, let's see how the season ends."

  I know Rafa is $hit in BPL lah but he is quite good in CL...especially against Spanish team...

  Yeah especially since he's coached Valencia to win the La Liga before and hence knows how spanish teams operate

  This game is very interesting, I am thinking the first leg in Spain Pool don't or won't win and get a goalless draw or something then the return leg at Anfield on the 11 of March, and Pool in order to win, have to go all out and use their cup style of running and chasing to close down Real's skilful players real fast so as to unsettle them and not let them play their game but in doing so would mean using a lot of energy in the process...

  Win or lose, it will only matter to Pool fans... But the thing is they face United on the 14 of March... And I don't think Rafa can use the same run and rush style on United cos the players won't have enough rest after the Real match to play that way again so they may have to opt for a controlled or defensive style against United... Anyway, the match is at OT... Pool normally won't play the "run and rush style" away from home...
