Hull City boss Phil Brown forced his players into a humiliating halftime team talk - ON THE EASTLANDS PITCH - yesterday.
Brown said: “We had around 4,000 fans who deserved some explanation for that first-half performance and it’s difficult to do that from the dressing room.”
Brown stopped the team from heading inside and instead led them to the visiting end.
They applauded their supporters then sat down while their manager gave them a blasting before finally heading to the dressing room.
Yet they were not able to get too comfortable as Brown also sent them out early for the start of the second half.
He said: “People have arranged their Christmas and Boxing Day around this game and I felt they deserved an apology for that first-half show.
“It was unacceptable behaviour and unacceptable from a Phil Brown side.
"It was nice and cold and we needed to do it to keep them alive.”
