Reported Arsenal target and Standard Liege playmaker Steven Defour has snubbed a big money offer from Dynamo Moscow.
Defour’s agent has claimed that that highly-rated midfielder has ruled out the possibility of signing with the Russian outfit despite Dynamo offering in the region of £14 million for the Belgian.
The 20-year-old would rather sign with a Western European club according to his representative, with The Gunners rumoured to be highly interested in his services.
Agent Paul Stefani told Sud Presse: “It’s too early to move on. When Steve will be transferred, it will be to a Western European league – Italy, Spain, England or France. We will speak later.
“Everything was crystal clear (with Dynamo). But we didn’t even discuss about his salary. Currently, Steven doesn’t want to hear about that.
“Steven assured me he is happy at Standard. We can feel he wants to achieve something this season. To my mind we can’t expect him to move during this winter.”
After Marouane Fellaini, who joined Everton on a record transfer last summer, two Standard players, Defour and Milan Jovanovic, have been rumoured to be on their way out of the Liege club.
