Chelsea captain John Terry has moved to dismiss claims of dressing room unrest at Stamford Bridge by hailing the impact made by Brazilian manager Luiz Felipe Scolari in his six months at the club.
While The Blues go into Sunday’s game against Fulham just one point shy of Premier League leaders Liverpool, Scolari’s stewardship of the West London side has come under scrutiny in recent weeks thanks to some poor home form.
Whispers of dressing room unrest have also circulated in the national media although the club have been at pains to repeatedly deny that the tide of player opinion is turning against Scolari.
Now Terry has done his part to present a united front by claiming that Scolari is a popular figure at Chelsea’s Cobham training ground and that the squad are suuportive of the former Brazil boss.
“Felipe has been a great signing for the club as a manager — he’s actually been different class,” said Terry in the News of the World. “He’s a great man, he gets on with everyone.
“Away from the training pitch he’s like one of our friends but, on the training pitch, he’s got the respect of the whole squad.
“He has come in and encouraged us to play football a lot more. He has encouraged the two full-backs to get on and have an effect going forward.
“But we also have in mind keeping clean sheets — at the minute we are doing both.”
he dont want to be like gallas.
fulham wont cause much problems to cfc anyway
Fulham leading 1 - 0 now... No Jelly in Chelsea's defense...
If Fulham don't get another, Chelsea will come back for sure...
you just drew lol
conceding late goals again~
Well, Fulham were a tough opponent unlike Newcastle. So... no choice.
Again, Deco had another poor game. I didn't realized his game has become so poor... Can't even make a proper pass... Scholari should have taken him out early in the second half... Lampard is still Chelsea's driving force... The good news is Carvalho is back tho...
Comments from the 2 managers... after the match.
Fulham manager Roy Hodgson:
"It was a fantastic fighting effort. Over 90 minutes Chelsea were the better footballing team, but we matched them in so many departments. "In the second half Chelsea played really well and deserved to go 2-1 up. "But credit to our players, they didn't lose their heads and they managed to score a wonderful late equaliser."
Chelsea boss Luiz Felipe Scolari:
"We had six, seven, eight chances to score and got two. They had two, from free-kicks, and scored twice. "We had more possession, but we made two dangerous mistakes in our box and because of that we've lost two points, it really was just incredible. "But we're in a good position, we just need to win games, nothing more."

Clint Dempsey's last-minute header dented Chelsea's Barclays Premier League title challenge as Fulham earned a battling draw at Craven Cottage.
Chelsea, who have now taken just ten points from their last 21, had been on course for a west London derby win after two second-half strikes from Frank Lampard.
But Dempsey, who had given Fulham the lead after 10 minutes, popped up with seconds remaining to extend the Cottagers' unbeaten run to nine games.
Chelsea now head into the new year three points behind league pace-setters Liverpool, who had signed off 2008 earlier in the day with a 5-1 win at Newcastle.
Fulham may not challenge for the title this season, but they are determined to have a major say in its eventual destination having now beaten Arsenal and taken points off Liverpool and Chelsea.
It is some turnaround in the space of 12 months under manager Roy Hodgson, who took charge a year ago when the club seemed bound for relegation.

LOL
well done to get a draw against Chelsea!
Well done Fulham, unbeaten in 9 games liaos.
I always thought Dempsey looked like a drunkard... that pic confirms it.
Wah this Fulham... Didn't realized that they have beaten Arsenal and taken points off Liverpool and Chelsea... Will Man Utd be next?
Scolari asks questions of 'captain' Cech

Luiz Felipe Scolari was left asking questions of goalkeeper Petr Cech after Chelsea surrendered a lead in the dying minutes to draw 2-2 at Fulham.
Twice The Blues conceded to set-pieces at Craven Cottage, both times Clint Dempsey was the man to benefit.
Dempsey’s second goal particularly annoyed Scolari, who was left to question why the nearest player to the goalscorer was ANOTHER Fulham player.
The Chelsea boss refused to accept he himself was at fault for leaving a post unguarded, instead pointing the finger at Cech’s organisation.
"Posts do not score goals, players score goals," stated Scolari.
"I asked Petr what happened because one player was free in the middle of the area in the last minute.
“It is incredible. Petr is the captain for this area.
"We lost two points today. We made two mistakes with our marking and conceded two goals. I think they had one more chance - we had 10 chances and scored two goals.
“It is my job now to look and see what happened. It is my dressing room. I need to look at it.”
Want to blame, blame himself lah... Not that everybody doesn't know... Scolari's team defence is always very poor one... Look at Portugal can already... The Germans can easily scored 2 header goals show that Scolari himself doesn't know how to organise a defense... Lucky he got Terry, Carvalho and Alex...
Lolx anyhow blame people blame ur defence la sux
I am not sure of the second goal, but the first goal was cheaply conceded... where was Cech to receive the ball?!?!!?!?
And during attacking, I have no ideas why Chelsea are always faced with a tight defence of so many defenders blocking them....wheres all the counter attacking football?
hahahahhaahaaaaaaaa
come cech come west ham =)
Have no idea whats wrong with Deco, he is really bad on the field recently.
He can't even make a long pass properly to A.Cole/Bosingwa.
It was really disappointing.
He cannot even do a proper corner kick into the penalty box but get his shot blocked.
maybe deco need wear spec..
i heard his eye degree is high
Not Cech's fault lah... The first goal Chelsea defenders couldn't clear it in the air and it went all the way to the last Fulham man standing there... But I don't know why Chelsea had 2 defenders standing next to each other on the line for... Since they are there cech had to cover his near post and leave those jokers to cover the far...
2nd goal could have happen to anyone lah... Ball come in from corner, a good header, and a goal lor... cannot blame keeper... Scolari will be crazy if he drop Cech.
so without terry the defense really jelly!
Well, look on the bright side of things... At least for their next league match at OT against Man Utd, Jelly and Car will be back... that is a big plus cos even if Scolari don't know how to organise a team to defend, these 2 "old birds" will know how to do it...
