The forthcoming transfer window is sure to see the Manchester side splashing the cash after their recent takeover by the Abu Dhabi United Group.
They recently smashed the British transfer record with their £32.5 million capture of Robinho and have also been linked with big money moves for the likes of Kaka and Gianluigi Buffon.
Welsh boss Mark Hughes, however, has warned that it will be a few years until the club can seriously challenge the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea for the Premier League crown.
"We have not had the benefit of one transfer window yet," the City boss explained.
"We need to go through three or four before we can even suggest that we are going to challenge at the top end.
"There will come a point when everybody says 'this is the moment when we can have a real go'. We are nowhere near yet, everybody has to understand that."
mark huges still dont understand how it works, mega rich owners dont have patience if they had spent hundred of millions.
