Bayern Munich have revealed that they would be prepared to part with Lukas Podolski for 10million euros (£9.6m).

The Germany international has been attracting interest from a host of clubs in the wake of his continued frustrations at the Allianz Arena.

Podolski joined Bayern from Cologne in 2006, but has struggled to hold down regular first-team football ever since.

His former employers are believed to have tabled a 7.5million euros (£7.2m) approach to take him back to Rhein Energie Stadion, but that will not be enough to secure his signature.

"We have said we want a double figure sum (in millions) and if we are not offered that then the interested club will not recruit the player," Bayern's general manager Uli Hoeness told the tz daily.

"Cologne do not want to pay what we are seeking."

Hoeness also confirmed that he is hoping to have offloaded Podolski 'by the end of January', with Tottenham, Manchester City, Roma and Marseille all reported to have expressed an interest.

Bayern have already completed a deal which will see Hamburg's Croatia international Ivica Olic arrive in the summer as a direct replacement.

I don't think he will be a success in England leh...a softie and £9.6m for a player who constantly warm the bench is not really that cheap lah...although I must say quite cheap. He shoot to fame during Euro tournament..after that, no news from him liao maybe because he always on the bench...never play...lol

Somehow he always plays well for his country, but for his club its a different story. Maybe its a question of motivation
