Nicklas Bendtner found a way through the parked bus that was Bolton with six minutes remaining to see Arsenal scrape a 1-0 victory at Emirates Stadium on Saturday.
There are defensive mindsets and then there are defensive mindsets. Gary Megson will no doubt be slated from all quarters for sending his team out with negativity written all over them, but for 84 minutes their plans worked to a tee.
Just as the name of Bolton looked like it would be added to that of Liverpool, Tottenham, Hull and Aston Villa in taking Premier League points off Arsenal at home this season, up popped Bendtner.
Despite Bolton’s continued timidity (they had only two shots all game), one thing should be made clear – this was not a 90-minute barrage of Arsenal chances. They were shot-shy, unimaginative and feeble for much of it.
at least, it's a win. unlike liverpool.
Anyone knows why bolton has 4 subs on the bench?
