Man City turn to Sporting Lisbon ace

  Manchester City are launching a bid for Sporting Lisbon midfielder Miguel Veloso.

  With West Ham United pricing Scott Parker out of a move to Eastlands, City boss Mark Hughes is now ready to go outside the Premiership to boost his midfield.

  The Mail on Sunday says Hughes is now considering Sporting Lisbon holding midfielder Veloso and has also looked at defenders in Holland. So far, only £12m Wayne Bridge has arrived from Chelsea in the January window.

  i hope man u buy miguel veloso and sell hargreaves. even though i know hargreaves is a good player. too injury-prone luh.

  harggy is good... but its doesnt matter how good u're if u arent on the field! Man Utd really needs a stronger center mid... not saying the current 1 isn't good.... just not one of the best
