Chelsea wide man Joe Cole will be out for the rest of the season with a ruptured knee ligament.
Cole injured his knee during Wednesday's 4-1 FA cup victory over Southend, and the club confirmed the England winger has a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament.
thats sad.
dang..
damn.
but fuck man. chelsea managed to score 2 in last 10min of the game..blardy hell
i see hope in our young talents!
Awwww, guess scholari has no more decent wingers to field anymore
just as we gain 1 winger back in malouda, we lose another..
Now Scolari got excuse to open the cheque book liao...
Yeah Chelsea were very lucky to win Stoke... I think this win is not just about 3 points, the way they won it, It could help them kick start the season again after recent bad news...
Had they not won at home against Stoke, I think more heads will start to drop and it would be very difficult for Scolari to get them going again... And who knows, maybe more players could start to blame each other against creating more problems...
Chelsea have said they are unlikely to sign a replacement for Joe Cole and rubbished any suggestions that John Terry would leave.
The Blues will be without the services of Cole for the rest of the season after he damaged his cruciate ligament in the FA Cup replay against Southend.
Florent Malouda and Salomon Kalou began the game on the wings for Luiz Felipe Scolari's side but he said that despite an apparent lack of options on the wings at Stamford Bridge.
"I don't think we will buy now we have lost Joe Cole for the season," Scolari said. "I follow what the club decide.
"It is not my business to sell or buy, it is the business of Peter Kenyon."
Scolari dismissed speculation suggesting that the England captain could leave the club he has spent all his career at though.
"Maybe some clubs want John Terry," Scolari added. "Ask John if he wants to go - 'no'. Why? Because he loves Chelsea.
"When you love Chelsea you stay here and finish."
