  xabi alonso... in terms of technique... sidewards pass, diagonal long ball, his long passes are ever so carefully weighted

  indeed terry and lampard are the best according to statistics. I just posted out some statistics from unknown sources and yes you are right, according to stats alone, terry and lampard are the best.

  From a different angle, I think best passer, means the passes he made are the ones with the most impact, and not that it is accurate.

  In that, I don't think Xabi is the best passer but maybe the most accurate.
