Manchester City executive chairman Garry Cook has hinted that the club would be interested in John Terry – and that Chelsea may still want Robinho.
Robinho looked certain to join Chelsea when he left Real Madrid in the summer, but City came in with an improved offer at the last minute to take him to Eastlands.
However, several reports have suggested Luiz Felipe Scolari is still eager to tie up a deal for his compatriot and has been encouraged by recent talk that Robinho may be unhappy in Manchester.
City, meanwhile, have been linked with a move for Terry since the club’s takeover in the summer.
And, confirming he had held a meeting with Chelsea chief executive Peter Kenyon, Cook revealed that Kenyon registered his interested in City’s ‘superstars’ but he was unable to discuss the England captain.
Asked about Terry, he said in The Times: “I had a meeting with Kenyon but I didn’t bring up his name.
“He did ask about some of our superstars, but I’m not allowed to ask about his.”
