Liverpool defender Daniel Agger has expressed his frustration at the lack of progress over a proposed new deal at Anfield.
The 24-year-old, whose current contract with The Reds expires in 18 months, held talks with the club’s hierarchy over a renewed agreement last November.
He maintains the club told him that they would return to the table shortly after with details of an offer, but there has been no movement to date and Agger is growing disgruntled at the lack of development in negotiations.
“At the meeting we had in early November, I was told that the club would come back soon,” the Denmark international told Ekstra Bladet.
“But that is a while back. There have now been 12 weeks since we spoke.”
Agger, who has been strongly linked with Italian giants Milan, continued: “It's an annoying situation, and in principle it is a little frustrating not getting the message, especially when it's been three months.
“It was they who said they would come back soon.”
Agger is currently sidelined with a calf problem, having missed much of the early part of the season with an ankle injury.
