Kevin Nolan has completed his transfer from Bolton Wanderers to Newcastle United on a four-and-a-half year contract.
The fee goes by the ubiquitous description of undisclosed, although reports state that Joe Kinnear has parted with £4 million to land the Wanderers captain.
The move to the North East ends Nolan's 12-year-old association with The Trotters having joined Wanderers as a 14-year-old schoolboy. In 345 appearances for the club, Nolan notched 50 goals.
Nolan's arrival will compensate Newcastle for the absence of Joey Barton, with the former Manchester City midfielder sidelined for two months by injury.
