Arsenal have been handed a welcome fitness boost with the news that Theo Walcott could return to action in a month following a dislocated shoulder.
Walcott sustained the injury while on international duty, with the
Gunners desperately missing his presence on the wing since, struggling
to break teams down.
"Walcott is the closest [to returning] because he has four weeks before
he sees a specialist again and he should get the green light," manager
Arsene Wenger told the club's official website.
However, there was less encouraging news on captain Cesc Fabregas and
long-term injury victim Tomas Rosicky, who are likely to be missing for
another two months.
"Rosicky is eight weeks. Fabregas, I believe, will be six to eight
weeks before playing," said Wenger. "I can understand [Fabregas's]
optimism and we hope, but with a medial knee ligament you have to
respect the time."
