Andriy Voronin admits the chances of him returning to Liverpool have increased following the sale of Robbie Keane.
Voronin was loaned to Hertha Berlin last summer after the Merseysiders deemed him surplus to requirements following the acquisition of Keane from Tottenham.
And while the Ukraine international would relish the chance to make his deal with Hertha permanent, he is aware his first-team opportunities at Anfield have been boosted by Keane's return to Spurs.
Voronin told the Bild newspaper: 'There have not been any talks between (Hertha general manager) Dieter Hoeness, my agent and me.
'I know my agent has talked with Liverpool though. I still have a contract there. And now Keane has been sold.
'Before he came last summer I was playing regularly under Rafael Benitez. With Keane gone, Liverpool don't have many strikers again.'
Voronin has enjoyed his time in the German capital and would not rule out staying on a permanent basis.
'I would happily remain here, he added. 'I like it here, as do my wife and children.
'I just want clarity as soon as possible.'
I don't know how good he is leh though he seems hardworking.
He is a decent player lah...but I think better buy someone on the right and put Kuyt back on the striker role please...he is $hit on the right ...and yes, he does not have pace & no cross ability but he at least can score...
