Park scores late to keep S.Korea on top
Park Ji-sung scored with nine minutes remaining to earn South Korea a 1-1 draw with Iran and hold on to the Group Two lead in 2010 World Cup qualifying.
The Koreans, chasing a spot at their seventh-successive finals, went down on the hour mark to a Javad Nekounam goal before the talismanic Manchester United midfielder pulled the visitors back into the match with an 81st-minute header.
The draw pushed Iran down to third, with North Korea moving second, a point behind South Korea, after their 1-0 win over Saudi Arabia.

Aussies hold Japan to stay top in qualifiers
Australia withstood late pressure from Japan to hold on for a 0-0 draw which kept them top of their World Cup qualifying group on Wednesday.
''It's a great result,'' Australia midfielder Tim Cahill said. ''They've had five weeks preparing, we've had two days. We will take that result - and I'm sure they will too.''
Australia lead Group One in the final round of Asian 2010 World Cup qualifying with 10 points from four games, two ahead of second-placed Japan.
''You've got to look at the table. I think we're six points clear of the team in third (Bahrain). We're sitting pretty and so are Japan.''
North Korea clinch win over shivering Saudis
North Korea boosted their chances of reaching their first World Cup finals in 44 years after beating Saudi Arabia 1-0 in Pyongyang on Wednesday.
Mun In-guk's well-taken goal from close range 28 minutes into the Group Two qualifier was enough to earn the battling hosts three points against a misfiring Saudi team without four regular starters.
Wearing gloves and roll-neck sweaters to keep out the cold, the Saudis looked dangerous but failed to get past a resolute North Korean defence, which packed out the area on every attack.
North Korea had the best of the early exchanges and went ahead when Hong Yong-jo's showmanlike back heel found it's way through the baffled Saudi defence and into the path of Mun, who slotted the ball under the body of the onrushing keeper.
Former Asian player of the year Yasser Al-Kahtani returned from injury and was a constant menace for the Koreans, who countered a Saudi second-half onslaught with a stream of attacks late in the game.
Seven minutes from time, Al-Kahtani, known as "the sniper" in Asia, came close to grabbing a point when his superb shot from outside the area was spectacularly turned away by Ri Myong-guk.
The win gave the North Koreans, who reached the quarter-finals of the 1966 finals, seven points, the same as leaders South Korea, who play Iran later on Wednesday.
