New Chelsea signing Ricardo Quaresma netted his first goals for the Blues on Monday night as the west London club's reserves thrashed their Portsmouth counterparts 6-0.
The Portuguese winger, signed on loan from Inter Milan by Luiz Felipe Scolari just days before the Brazilian got the axe, bagged a brace at Brentford's Griffin Park, with another double from Franco Di Santo and further goals from Jacob Mellis and Frank Nouble completing the rout.
The one-sided affair was watched by both Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich and new temporary coach Guus Hiddink, with Quaresma - an unused substitute in the Blues's 3-1 win at Watford in the FA Cup on Saturday - completing the full 90 minutes
Reserves- Thats the key word
Quaresma is playing for the reserves? Good god what is the premier league coming to
soon our tv will be
BERPL
so they bought him, to let him play reserve league football? cnt win the BPL, no choice win reserve league is it?
In case you people don't know...when he played for the Hull City's match, he do not have the enough match fitness.
Thats why he played only 60minutes...
At Inter, he wasn;t playing every match, playing in this Reserves Match can help him to regain back his match fitness and get him ready for Villa.
A joke from the Sun goes like this...
The Reporter: Jose, why did you allow Quaresma to join Chelsea?
Jose: I let Chelsea have Quaresma because I thought Scolari had no charisma...
continue at the reserves
