Arjen Robben Predicts Real Madrid Will Not Beat Liverpool Easily
Real Madrid's president may think that his team can easily beat Liverpool in the Champions League in midweek, but Robben is slightly more cautious.

Arjen Robben is hoping to be able to help the prediction by Real Madrid's president come true when they take onLiverpool in the Champions League on Wednesday evening in the Bernabeu.
Vicente Boluda believes that the home team will win 3-0 in the first game and, though the Dutch international admits that would be great, he knows it is a huge task.
"I hope we do but that's easy to say when you're not on the pitch,” Robben laughed. “He will be in the presidential box and we will be on the pitch.
"That would be a great result but Liverpool are a very good team and they are strong in the Champions League. It will be difficult.
"I expect them to be strong. They have a very good coach, who prepares their tactics very well. We will have to focus on playing our own game."
Robben was twice on the losing team in the semi-finals with Chelsea against Liverpool but he believes that means nothing as he prepares for this encounter.
"That's football for you," he continued. "But I am no longer at Chelsea and I hope the result changes this time. It is tough to lose two semi-finals, but you have to move on."
Madrid have scored ten goals in their last two league outings, netting four at Sporting Gijon and then putting six past Real Betis. Robben is not sure why the goals have suddenly started to come.
"We [have] scored ten goals in the last two games and I [have] hardly played," he said. "The team has quality players and I know we'll be able to score against Liverpool.
"I played a little in the second half of our previous clash [against Betis] to get the feel of things again and I now feel ready to play tomorrow.
"It is hard to explain. We are playing very well and our opponents may have had a bad day. Betis had played very well in their previous two games but they probably lacked confidence against us." -

benitez never allows attacking minded teams to play their game. he totally spoils the way spanish teams play.

The Real players didn't look very fit to me... And coming up against the fittest top side amongst the 4 in the EPL, it showed a big difference... Real just don't have enough Robben type players...

that is called good tactic. if you can neutralize the opponent, it is what matters.knowing the spanish game well helps. having been a part of real's set-up in the past is a bonus.
that said, the return leg is not a for gone conclusion. the last thing liverpool wants to do is to be over-confident.
