Cudicini feels the English side are struggling...
Tottenham goalkeeper Carlo Cudicini has poured scorn on bitter rivals Arsenal, believing the Gunners are struggling ahead of their Champions League tie with Roma.
Arsene Wenger's side lock horns with the Italians next Tuesday in the last-16 stage of Europe's elite competition. Roma head to London hoping to come away with the right result and, although Arsenal are the bookies' favourties to win at the Emirates, Cudicini feels they are not in peak condition.
"Arsenal are not the same as last year it's true, there are behind in the Premier League and a number of there players such as Cesc Fabregas are missing," Cudicini told Dnews.
"However, they still have strong players like Robin van Persie and they are always unpredictable. Arsenal are capable of playing a beautiful game, but also a really bad one."
The Emirates is sold out for the Anglo-Italian tie, but Cudicini doesn't feel the Arsenal fans will faze the Giallorossi.
"The Emirates stadium is great and modern, but the atmosphere is not like Liverpool's Anfied for example," continue the shot-stopper.
Cudicini, who played for Rome-based Lazio in the past, knows all about Roma and he believes Luciano Spalletti's men have a equal chance of beating the Gunners.
"It's difficult to pick a winner as both teams are roughly on the same level at the moment," added Cudicini.
"It will be an open game, and I think Roma have a 50 percent chance of winning the round. The other Italian sides [Juventus and Inter] also have good chances."
