Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson will soon be working up a sweat away from the football field, after it emerged he and a range of other famous Red Devils faces will be appearing in a cookery programme.
The first episode of Red Devil's Kitchen was screened on, the club's
in-house TV channel, MUTV on Sunday evening, with United left-back
Patrice Evra first in line to try out his culinary skills in front of a
panel of judges.
In the new show, United's resident chef Romain Camos assists
participants in preparing luxurious meals, which are then assessed by a
pair of experts.
“Travelling all over the world with United, I wanted fans to go behind
the scenes and see what I see - a different side to the players and
manager," Camos told the club's official website.
"Red Devil's Kitchen is a very relaxed programme, I make sure we have
some good football banter while we're preparing the food. And as you
might expect when you're cooking with professional footballers, all the
recipes are healthy.”
In the show's first episode, Evra russled up some lobster ravioli, with
Sir Alex Ferguson and former United stars Bryan Robson and Denis Irwin
due to appear on the show in the coming weeks.
