Luis Figo
The 24-year-old Portugal international has been linked with a move to the Bernabeu for over two years and United turned down a £75million bid from Real for him last summer.
Figo spent five years at Real after controversially signing from Barcelona in 2000, winning two league titles and the Champions League in his time at the club.
And the veteran midfielder reckons World Player of the Year Ronaldo has achieved everything he can with United and must now take on a new challenge with Real.
Figo, 36, said: “I think Ronaldo has already wrapped up a stage at United. “He has won everything he can with the English club, which is another great club, but he should have other goals now, other ambitions, and Real Madrid would allow him to achieve more importance, more relevancy.
“Real Madrid is the most important club in the world, the best club in the world. “That is what I have told him. I don't know what he thinks now.”
