Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says the rewards will come for his players and the fortunes of the team will change.
The Gunners have experienced their worst run in front of goal in 14 years by not scoring in their last four league matches and now are in danger of relinquishing fifth position on the table but Wenger is adamant things will turn around.
“I believe the spirit of the team is great, the focus they have in training is great and they will be rewarded – I have never seen a team not being rewarded for that kind of spirit and quality,” he said.
Wenger commented on the fact that although his side hasn’t scored much recently, they have conceded just three goals in their past 12 matches.
“We want to keep the focus on that strength,” he added.
“We are in the final sprint of the season and you can see that it’s vital and very, very important.
“You can only make results everywhere if you feel strong defensively.”
