Carlo Ancelotti will remain Milan’s head coach if they finish in the top three in Serie A, vice-president Adriano Galliani has revealed.
Ancelotti, who has been the Rossoneri’s coach for seven years, has been walking on thin ice in the last two seasons, and his future at the club has been the subject of intense speculation, with Chelsea believed to be keen on his services.
Galliani has issued an ultimatum to the tactician by saying that he will part ways with the club if they do not secure the third Serie A spot.
Milan, who did not qualify for the Champions League last term and have been dumped out of the Uefa Cup by Werder Bremen, are currently third in the table, only two points clear of Fiorentina.
Galliani said: “Ancelotti reads a lot of divergent news.
“He will stay if we finish third.
“This is crystal clear.”
