Real Madrid legend Raul has revealed that he will never play in The Premier League.
The Spanish forward appears to be willing to extend his contract with Los Merengues, although he has hinted that a move to MLS is an option he would consider.
The 31-year-old would fancy experiencing a spell abroad, as he has only played for Real in his glorious career.
But Premier League fans will never have the chance to watch the legendary player in action in the domestic league.
When asked about moving to the English top flight, Raul told As: “My contract is due to end in 2011 and it will be the moment to speak.
“But if I don’t continue, I will look further, like in the United States.”
Los Merengues, who conceded a stunning 1-0 defeat to Liverpool in the Spanish capital in the first leg of their Champions League clash, are determined to turn their fortunes around.
Raul added: “We are aware that we will have chances to score and we are going to deliver, that’s what Madrid is about.
“We are dying to play this game. This team is capable of winning in Anfield.”
