Chelsea owner will compete with Man City for Spain's ace

  Chelsea will compete with Manchester City for Valencia star David Villa in the summer.

  The Spanish club's chief executive Javier Gomez has revealed they are battling a severe cash crisis, with around £400million owed to the banks.

  Asked about selling Villa - the top scorer at Euro 2008 - Gomez said: "Obviously we will consider that type. We have to control costs."

  Valencia have been forced to delay payments to players, while construction work on a new stadium has ground to a halt.

  As City were ready to shell out £100m for AC Milan's Kaka, Valencia hope to command a huge fee for Villa and international team-mate David Silva.

  Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is also ready to sanction another huge spending spree in the summer to revamp the side and compete with Manchester United.

  Competiton result (without the need to even compete):

  More money: City (Needless to say, a reported 555billion making Chelsea boss's money small change)

  More history: Blues (Okay they have the slight edge over City but compared to Man United is a shame to Man United becos they dont deserved to get compared to United in the first place)

  More prospect: Draw (dont write off Man City so fast, give it a few years)

  European competiton: Blues (They got more chance to enter Europe than City)

  Lifestyle: Blues (In London, best liao) (In Manchester, drink rainwater for dinner also can)

  I cant think of anything else David Villa might consider if he leaves, but if I am him, I will choose Blues becos they are in Europe competitons.
