  Newcastle United defender Steven Taylor is convinced he can fulfil his ambitions at the crisis club.

  The Geordie told the Sunday Times: “We need to stay up this season and then concentrate on getting into Europe.

  “This club belongs there. We’ve played in the Champions League. When we were knocked out of Europe a couple of years ago, it killed us a bit because it wasn’t the same. You want to be travelling, having something different to challenge for. It doesn’t feel right without it. The last thing we want is to be watching the television when other English clubs are playing in Europe. Every match hurts like a kick in the teeth.”

  The England U21 international added: “When this club takes off again, it’s going to be absolutely unbelievable.

  “It’s just a matter of when. It’s just waiting.”

  UCL ? Then not in the next 5 years ...

  If wanna go to the UCL , must beat Chelsea 1st , then Villa , then Man City if can , then Arsenal ....then they got chance .

  if they don't injure so much, sadly, they still can't be contender...cause they lack quality.

  I hope that the barcoders can evaluate whether it is their training or how they play or just they prefer to buy sick chickens to arrest this injury concerns..

  maybe a stint in the championship can do wonders to their ambitions..

  The magpies need to go through the relegation battle baptism of fire before emerging as a renewed pheonix.

  Newcastle needs a change in the board.

  Geordies doesn't mind if they can't win the UCL or BPL or UEFAC, all they want to see is a fighting team, playing sensible free-spirited football week in week out.

  Because eventually, with a stable club surged with a fighting spirit, playing free-flowing football, the trophies will come in sooner or later.
