Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez has asked his team to simply approach their meetings with Real Madrid and Manchester United with confidence.
With the pair of crucial games coming in the space of five days, this is as a crucial period in Liverpool's season, both in the Champions League and Premier League.
"Tomorrow (Tuesday) will be a very important game and can be a boost for us for the next game," Benitez told Sky Sports News.
"It is two different competitions, but against two very strong teams so we have to approach the games with confidence."
Victory over United would put Liverpool back in the title race, but Benitez admits defeat would prove costly.
"If we can beat United we will still be in the title race. If we cannot, it will be very, very difficult," he added.
The Spaniard is well aware how the support of the Anfield faithful can be crucial.
"But, whatever happens, I will remain calm. My job is to analyse the game and to give the players ideas and solutions - my thoughts," he continued.
"If I am nervous or too excited, I will not be calm or control my thoughts, so I think that is the key.
"The fans can again be a great help. The noise they make on big European nights is vital, they are our number 12."
