According to NOS, Polish goalie Jerzy Dudek is desperate to leave Real Madrid this summer in order to return to his beloved Feyenoord. Dudek has an expiring contract at the Spanish giants.
The
35-year-old stated this desire after the 4-0 shock defeat against
Liverpool on Tuesday evening. Dudek is reportedly fed up with his
position as deputy for Iker Casillas and wants regular first team
action again.
Earlier reports suggested that Feyenoord and Dudek
had already reached an agreement, but Feyenoord's new technical
director Leo Beenhakker denied the rumour back then.
However,
it's far from unlikely that both parties will start negotiations about
a possible return in the near future. Dudek played for Feyenoord before
from 1996 until 2001 and developed into a fans favourite during his
previous spell at the Rotterdam giants.
Feyenoord are in the
market for a new goalie ever since new manager Mario Been made it clear
that he wants to get rid of current first choice Henk Timmer.
