Arsenal’s Ivorian stars have backed Salomon Kalou to leave Chelsea, in an exclusive interview with setanta.com.
Blues attacker Kalou revealed to us after the Champions League’s last 16, first leg with Juventus that he was ‘dreaming of playing for Arsene Wenger’.
The Ivory Coast international, who was educated at the famous Jean-Marc Guillou Academy at the same time as Emmanuel Eboue, said that plying his trade with his compatriots would be great.
And both Eboue and Toure have reacted to Kalou’s stunning interview.
"I tell you what, Kalou has been speaking about Arsenal for a while. He wants to play for Arsenal since a long while back," Eboue told setanta.com.
"Even when we were at the [Jean-Marc Guillou] Academy he told me about Arsenal’s attacking football.
"At the moment he’s a Chelsea player so it depends on him. He may think that he would be happier at Arsenal, but he seems happy were he is at the moment."
Toure added : "Salomon is ‘mon petit’ as we say in Ivory Coast. He is a very clever kid who knows what he wants and who deserves what is happening to him.
"For sure I hope that one day we will play together."
