Ipswich have signed Tottenham youngster Giovani dos Santos on loan until the end of the season.
The former Barcelona attacker has struggled with form and injuries since his arrival in the summer and came close to a January move to Portsmouth.
Giovani scored his first goal for the club in the Uefa Cup second leg game against Shakhtar Donetsk last month, but Redknapp has decided to allow the Mexico international to move to the Championship side for the rest of the current campaign.
Ipswich boss Jim Magilton told the club's official website: "Gio has got a great pedigree having been at Barcelona and playing 30-odd games for them and I know there was a lot of interest in him last summer.
"He's played games for Tottenham in The Premier League and in Europe and he will bring some added quality to the squad."
The 19-year-old could make his debut against Reading at the weekend.

QPR have signed Tottenham midfielder Adel Taarabt on loan until the end of the season.
The 19-year-old, who earned his first Morocco cap last month after pledging his international future to the country, was not given a squad number under Juande Ramos at the start of the season but was handed a chance when Harry Redknapp arrived.
However, he has still yet to break into the first-team and now moves to Loftus Road to gain experience.
“Harry Redknapp told me that Tottenham are not really in a position to give young players like me an opportunity right now, and he said that QPR were keen on me,” he told the club’s official website.
“He told me to come here and show what I can do. As soon as I knew about the move, I was interested.
“Other Championship clubs came in for me, but QPR is a team that plays football in a way that I like to play it.”
Taarabt could make his debut against Southampton this weekend.
