Portsmouth star Nadir Belhadj has set his sights on securing a dream move to Barcelona in the future.
Algeria international Belhadj confessed during the January transfer window that Spanish league giants Barca offered him the chance to end the season at Camp Nou.
But the left back and midfielder turned his back on them, as he refused to go on loan to replace the injured Eric Abidal.
The former Lyon defender left the French champions after growing frustrated by his lack of action, with Fabio Grosso considered number one choice, and he did not want to experience the same situation in Catalonia.
But Belhadj has declared that he still dreams of signing with Barca, but this time on a permanent basis.
He told Algerian newspaper Le Buteur: “I can confess that Barca made an offer, which makes me very happy.
“I wasn’t interested in a six-month loan deal.
“I hope that one day I will be playing for Barca, but when I go there I want to go in a position of strength.”
