Clash: Cesc Fabregas celebrates on the pitch after Arsenal's 2-1 win over Hull
Hull have been granted extra time to compile their evidence in the Cesc Fabregas spitting storm. The Arsenal midfielder is alleged to have spat at the feet of Tigers assistant boss Brian Horton in the tunnel after last week's FA Cup replay at the Emirates.
Fabregas, who was not playing in the game, denies the accusation from Hull manager Phil Brown, who claims he witnessed the incident. Brown was also raging that the Spaniard was dressed in a hoodie and jeans.
The FA asked Hull to provide their observations by this morning but the deadline has been extended by five days as Horton is currently abroad.
'We have now received a request from Hull for an extension of time to provide their observations,' said an FA spokesman. 'We have considered the request and have allowed an extension until March 30.'
Hull have been given encouragement by the FA's action against Doncaster's Richie Wellens.
Swansea midfielder Leon Britton accused Wellens of spitting at him during a Championship match last month and the FA this week charged Wellens.
