Arsenal midfielder Samir Nasri has sung the praises of Paris Saint-Germain striker Guillaume Hoarau following the front-man's late call-up to the French national team.
The 25-year-old was summoned after Chelsea hot-shot Nicolas Anelka
pulled out with a toe injury that is set to rule the former Gunner out
for three weeks.
And although Hoarau’s selection has surprised some sections of the
French media - despite the ex-Le Havre striker netting 15 times in
Ligue 1 this season keeping the French capital side in title contention
- former Marseille midfielder Nasri was keen to praise his fellow
countryman and justify his selection.
“He is superb at covering the ball,” he told L'Equipe. “He is gifted with his feet, is powerful and has great size.
"He will give service to the French team, that’s clear.”
