Henrik Larsson has labelled his former Manchester United team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo a ‘diver’.
Larsson is set to go toe-to-toe with his former Old Trafford colleague as Sweden face Portugal in a World Cup qualifier on Saturday.
Ronaldo once again came under the spotlight during the last seven days, throwing several tantrums and lunging in on Danny Murphy as Manchester United lost 2-0 to Fulham.
But it is his honesty in the challenge, or lack of, that concerns Larsson, who intends to have a captain’s word in the ear of the referee before kick-off in Porto on Saturday.
"I intend to speak with the referee before the match to warn him about Ronaldo diving," The Daily Mail quotes Larsson as saying.
"We must be careful, as a team, not to get caught out by that, but so must the referee. I will be having a word with him and telling him to keep an eye out for it."

Manchester United ace Cristiano Ronaldo has dismissed being branded a diver by Sweden striker Henrik Larsson.
"It doesn't bother me what Larsson says, because I know I don't dive, and that is all that matters," he said ahead of Portugal's World Cup qualifier.
"I may get kicked, but I don't dive. It seems everyone wants to have a go at me over that, but I don't care. I know I always do things fairly."
Larsson reopened the debate by revealing he intended making a personal plea to the referee before the game in Porto.
"The referee must be careful about Ronaldo's diving, and I will speak with him about it before the game," he said the ex-United striker.

British newspapers are all rags! Ronaldo can do anything he wishes to do if United are to gain more points. Torres too has a lot of tricks to play against opponents and referees. These tricks are acceptable so long as these big players are concerned.
